Clicking on this link brings "Page not found" msg,

Here is a good link.Samsung creates flash-friendly, open source file system: F2FS about the same subject.

I am puzzled no one has commented about this. It is such an important subject that MS has been using to sue many of the companies supporting Linux.

Such a file system would totally remove the need for FAT and its Long File Name algorithm that MS keeps waving the flag every time it claims that Linux infringes its patents.

Most people click, and it if doesn't work they move on with their lives. That's why a single bug report is so important -- it represents not just that person who filed the bug but potentially hundreds or thousands who either didn't know how to file a bug, or doesn't have the time or inclination to do so.
