It seems the KDE devs have really learned their lesson from what was the disaster transition from KDE3 to KDE4. This plan for the transition from KDE4/QT4 to KDE5/QT5 seems eminently sane. It's heartening and refreshing to see developers that actually listen and take into consideration the concerns of their end users. I don't expect the transition to be totally pain free but the KDE team is clearly trying to minimize the hurt. |
