It always amuses me how extreme the views of so many people are with regards to Enlightenment. They either think it looks wonderful and modern or they yell and scream that it looks like a tinker toy.

At any rate, thanks for the mention. We work hard to provide a stable, flexible system.

I implemented Enlightenment on a base Debian install and it took me ages to get it to a point where it was useable.

You have done an amazing job with Bodhi to make Enlightenment work so well

I gave Enlightenment a few spins (on Slackware). Quite impressive, and astonishingly low on resources. Though I admit I could never really use it for everyday work (where I have this: http://www.microlinux.fr/mled.php).

There will always be a need for a rational, usable, default. Pretty is even better.
