My 79-year-old Dad has an ancient IBM ThinkPad laptop, circa 2001, that he uses solely for playing Solitaire. It's a custom thing, set up by myself. It runs Slackware 12.x, with Linux kernel 4.4.y. And many fragments of the same code have just flown a helicopter in the much thinner atmosphere of Mars. No other widely-used OS can make that claim. Wow, hot-d@mn, it's great to say that, as a 23-year user of Linux. |
