I really like Chromebooks for development because they're a Google blessed Linux install (with Crostini) ready for use immediately. I've been able to install all the apps I need for doing database development (DbVisualizer, VSCode, UEX, etc) without (... mostly). Those that don't work correctly immediately take me back to the fun days of early Linux usage, looking around forums and stackexchange. I get that it may not be for a lot of people but it really works for me.

You know that's the one thing I haven't been able to get to work yet.

The Google play store will not let me install anything to my Chromebook yet. It doesn't see it as a device of mine yet even though it still sees two cell phones I haven't owned in years. I don't get it.
