gentoo on desktop gets A+

Dave, I can testify that gentoo does as well as a desktop distro as any others I've used. I have it running on laptops, desktop intel, desktop athlons. Even have it running on a g3-266 (and its surprisingly useable.) This g3 mac was headed for the dumpster, but it compiled both perl and python in similar times as a p3-550 on my lan. So anyway, gentoo and the g3 are keepers. |
