He thinks that any fool can contribute to Linux. In order for hidden code to enter the actual Kernel, it has to go through a hlaf of dozen people who look at each and every line to make sure it is up to Linus standards. Nothing I every wrote will make it to the kernel. He is still ignorant on the subject.

As for EAL-2 certfication it costs money to make that standard and until recently no one had the cash. IBM is pushing for those standards.

Windows is only EAL-4 for win2k, with certia patches applied. not all the current ones are allowed.
