This afternoon I added general discussion forums to the website today. The planned use will be for discussing the site itself, and talking about general Linux issues that may or may not have made the news that day.

There is a lot of discussion between the readers and myself, in private email, that really could take place out in the open. In true Linux community style, I have created some forums for this purpose.

The first forum is an LXer meta-forum, which is intended as a place where people can post comments, criticisms, ideas, and suggestions about the website itself.

The second forum is a generic Linux forum, in which we can talk about anything related to Linux. If you have an announcement to make that didn't get posted to the newswire, feel free to start a thread about it in this forum.

The forums can be found by clicking on "Forums" in the "Site Menu" box on the right, or by going to the homepage, scroll all the way down, and find the box with the forum list.

Have fun!
