BitNami releases easy to install phpBB and Mantis multiplatform software stacks

We’ve just released two new application stacks through our new project, bitnami.org. Each stack we release combines an application with all its dependencies in a cross-platform installation package for ease of distribution and deployment. The goal of BitNami is to encourage the adoption of open source software by making it easier to install and configure.

Our two most recent stacks are phpBB and Mantis. With just a few clicks, users can have phpBB or Mantis and all of the other software required (Apache, MySQL and PHP) ready to run. The software stacks are currently available for Windows and Linux, with support for Mac OS X coming soon. All BitNami stacks are released as open source under the terms of the Apache 2.0 license.
