Need to know how to make your video clips work on your iAudio? Check out iAudiophile!

In response to our recent review of the iAudio U3 player, one reader wanted to know how the U3 compared to his MPIO player, for which they had difficulty converting video clips to run on their player. Martin Plappert, Co-Administrator of iAudiophile.net and DAPreview editor, kindly responded to provide a link to iAudiophile.net, where users can learn how to make video clips compatible with the U3 and X5 models. GNU/Linux Users can find a good how-to in the forums.

The how-to thread in the forums discusses issues with framerates and software that can be used in converting AVIs and other formats to run on the X5/U3. At any rate, if you're serious about running videos on your X5/U3, you'll definitely want to check out iAudiophile. The forums at iAudio.com also have some GNU/Linux users that seem capable of providing useful information about using your iAudio players with GNU/Linux.

As a side note, a number of iAudio users added their positive experiences with iAudio players over at Digg.com, and on various listservs. More than one user has contrasted the simple "just works" iAudio with the iRiver players that often require additional steps to make them usable with GNU/Linux. We overlooke it in our review, but the serious digital audio enthusiasts among us will surely appreciate the BBE capabilities of iAudio's players. So there you go!
