Annapolis, MD – February 4, 2009 – Zenoss Inc., a leading provider of commercial open source IT systems and network monitoring software, today announced its first Zenoss Community Day will take place February 20, 2009, in Los Angeles. The daylong event is a precursor to the 7th annual Southern California Linux Expo (SCaLE 7x), where Zenoss is a silver sponsor and exhibitor.

Zenoss Community Day, which will take place at the Los Angeles Airport Westin, is free to all participants and features instructor-led training on how to get the most out of Zenoss Core, the company’s award-winning open source network monitoring tool. In addition, there will be ample time for community discussion and networking during the luncheon and cocktail hour.

“Over the past year, the Zenoss community has grown in size and it continues to play a vital role in further developing the solution. Community Day is an opportunity for training and collaboration and we thank everyone at SCaLE 7x for their support,” stated Zenoss VP of Community, Mark Hinkle.

SCaLE 7x, which runs February 20-22, 2009, at the Los Angeles Airport Westin, is the premier open source community conference in the southwestern United States. Zenoss will be demonstrating Zenoss Core throughout the show.

“We are grateful for Zenoss’ continued support of SCaLE,” said Ilan Rabinovitch, SCaLE 7x Conference Chair. “While the economy presents challenges, the upcoming Expo looks to be extremely successful – a true testament to the commitment of the open source community. During these troubled economic times, the advantages of open source solutions such as Zenoss become even more apparent.”

There is no cost to attend Zenoss Community Day. However, space at the event is limited and registrations are being taken on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, please visit http://blog.zenoss.com/2009/01/25/zenoss-community-day-february-20th/.
