Yesterday, the new dynamic tiling window manager i3 was released. Focus is on clean, readable and well documented code, a decent Xinerama implementation and various other improvements.

i3 is a minimalist window manager usable completely with keyboard or mouse. Like other tiling window managers, it is designed to make your work easier by using few keyboard shortcuts to efficiently manage windows.
It is implemented in C and uses xcb instead of Xlib for speed and beauty. Full Story |
