Fabio Erculiani proudly announced a few minutes ago the immediate availability of the Sabayon Linux 5.5 operating system, designed for Linux enthusiasts who want the latest packages and the best performance, but don't want to spend days getting things working properly.

Sabayon Linux 5.5 comes with the usual GNOME and KDE editions, for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures. It includes cutting-edge appllications, Linux kernel 2.6.37, GNOME 2.32 and KDE Software Compilation 4.5.5 (the new KDE SC 4.6.0 will be available soon via updates).
