The third Humble Indie Bundle has gone live. As with the previous two efforts, again it would seem that the average Linux user is donating three times as much cash as Windows users.

The third Humble Indie Bundle has gone live. As with the previous two efforts, again it would seem that the average Linux user is donating three times as much cash as Windows users.

Humble Indie Bundle is an annual event where users can buy a bundle of independent games for any amount of money they wish to contribute. They then get to choose how their donation is split between the developers, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the Child's Play charity.

This year, the games were donated by Frozenbyte and contains:

Trine: A gorgeous side-scrolling fantasy puzzle-platform game. Now available for the first time on Linux, with its upcoming sequel also heading for our platform.

Shadowgrounds and Shadowgrounds: Survivor: Futuristic action shooter games much in the vein of Alien Breed.

Splot: This is just a pre-order, as the game is not yet released. Also a puzzle platformer.

The last title might be most interesting for Linux users. Jack Claw is a prototype game that was never completed or released. And unlike the other games in the bundle, this one only has a Windows binary available. Included in the bundle however, is all the artwork, the level editor, and the source code.

Not as impressive as previous bundles, but since it's all for a good cause, and does not demand a minimum sum, it's well worth dropping some pennies on. When you donate you get full DRM-free access to all the games in the bundle for any of the three supported platforms.
