Expanded open source adoption across industries spurs demand for scanning and cloud tools. A testament to the ever-growing popularity of open source, OpenLogic continues to be successful across a wide variety of industries. While technology and financial services companies continue to be OpenLogic’s top two customer verticals, 2011 was marked by rapid growth in three new industries: manufacturing, government, and media.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. February 8, 2012—OpenLogic, Inc., provider of enterprise open source solutions for the data center and the cloud, today announced its continued momentum in 2011, which saw record-breaking sales in each quarter, including the company’s largest-ever quarter in Q4 2011, which was up 45% over the previous year. Customers In 2011 OpenLogic’s client base grew to more than 300 enterprise customers worldwide. New customers helped fuel the company’s record growth, as did existing customers who bought additional software and services, more than doubling expansion business over 2010. Overall, 70% of OpenLogic’s business continues to come from Global 2000 enterprises, although in 2011 OpenLogic saw the fastest growth from government and mid-market companies. The US market led in customer growth, followed by Asia Pacific, while EMEA showed the largest increases in average deal size. Products OpenLogic scanning products and services, which debuted in 2010, showed strong growth throughout 2011 with sales up 87% over 2010. In August, OpenLogic launched CloudSwing, the industry’s first fully flexible open platform-as-a-service (PaaS) cloud solution. In March, CloudSwing (then in beta) was named the People’s Choice Winner at the 2011 Cloud Connect Launch Pad competition. · OpenLogic conducted the industry’s first study into open-source license compliance for smartphone apps, finding that 71% of iPhone and Android apps containing open source fail to comply with licenses. In subsequent research, OpenLogic found that only 27% of Android developers have a compliance process in place.

· Product updates to OpenLogic Exchange (OLEX), a software-as-a-service solution for governance and provisioning of open source software, provided collaboration on open source compliance and enabled companies to uncover the provenance of code within open source projects.
