Knoppix 7.0 Presented at CeBIT 2012

The popular Knoppix Live DVD Linux distribution was presented last evening, March 6th, at the CeBIT 2012 event by its German developer, Klaus Knopper.

Being based on Debian 7 Wheezy, the Knoppix 7.0 operating system is powered by Linux kernel 3.2.4, and it is distributable as a Live DVD for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

The Live DVD now features UTF-8 encoding, Viacam mouse replacement program and Simon Listens speech recognition app for improved accessibility.

Apps like LibreOffice 3.4.5, Wine 1.4, OpenShot video editor and the Egoboo 3D open source adventure game, as well as Adobe's Flash Player plugin and PDF reader are also present in the upcoming Knoppix 7.0.
