After exactly five months of work, Skype is happy to announce today, November 15, that Skype 4.1 for Linux operating systems has been released and it is now available for download.

As we can see from its official website, Skype 4.1 for Linux brings two new features: easier conversations and the ability to talk to your Windows Live Messenger friends on Skype.

The first feature, called easier conversations, is related to the revamped conversation window, which now lets you easily manage all your recent chats in one place. That means, no more multiple conversation windows!

The second feature allows users to login with their Messenger ID and access all their contacts from Microsoft services like Hotmail, Outlook.com and Windows Live Messenger.
