Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" Xfce Edition Officially Released, Supported Until 2019

The Linux Mint team, through Clement Lefebvre announced the final release of Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" Xfce edition.

Prominent features of Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" Xfce include support for the Openbox and Compiz window manager, support for the Compton compositing manager, instant switching of window managers, along with screen-tearing prevention thanks to Compton, which is installed by default.

Furthermore, two new commands have been added in this release, "wm-detect" for viewing information about running window or compositing managers, and "wm-recovery" for restoring the default window manager. Various in-house built applications received many improvements in Linux Mint 17.3 "Rosa" Xfce as well.
