The Debian Project proudly announced the release of the Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 and Debian GNU/Linux 7.10 "Wheezy" maintenance releases for existing users.

Debian GNU/Linux 8.4 "Jessie" is the fourth update in the latest stable series of the acclaimed GNU/Linux operating systems, and it comes as an update, today, for all users running Debian GNU/Linux 8.3 "Jessie" or previous versions.

On the other hand, the Debian GNU/Linux 7.10 "Wheezy" update is only for those who use the old-stable branch of the Debian operating system, and if you're using Debian GNU/Linux 7.9 or a previous release, then you should update to today's 7.10 milestone by running the "sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade" command.
