Another week has passed and the major OTA-11 software update for the Ubuntu mobile operating system, which powers the Ubuntu Phone and Tablet devices, is getting closer to a final release.

Canonical's ?ukasz Zemczak emailed the community today, May 25, 2016, with fresh details from the Ubuntu Touch land. And it looks like things are going well for the development cycle of the OTA-11 update, which should arrive next week, as the Release Candidate (RC) image has just entered its final testing stage.

Once the Ubuntu QA finish all the rigorous tests of the Ubuntu Touch OTA-11 candidates, the major software update will be immediately pushed to the stable channels for all supported Ubuntu Phone devices, as well as the new Ubuntu Tablet, BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition, as a phased update during a 24-hour period.
