GNU/Linux developer Arne Exton informs us today about the availability of a new build of his RaspAnd project that lets users run Google's Linux-based Android mobile operating system on Raspberry Pi SBCs.

RaspAnd Build 160915 is out now and it's a remastered Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system engineered to run on the latest Raspberry Pi 2 Model B and Raspberry Pi 3 Model B SBCs (Single-board computers), and it appears to be faster and more responsive than previous versions.

As for the applications included in this custom Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS for Raspberry Pi devices, we can tell you that you'll find the Google Play Store if you want to install your favorite apps, ES File Explorer, VLC Media Player, Terminal Emulator, Clash of Clans, WinZip, Spotify, Rotation Control Pro, and Aida64.
