The first Ruby on Rails conference is now open for registration. This is the first international Rails conference and is sure to be a sell out. It is brought to you by the same people who run the Rubycon conferences. Registration can be done online at the conferences website.

Ruby on Rails is a web development framework that is taking the development world by storm. The list of early adopters reads like a who's who in the world of web development. The conference is sure to be the first of many. If you are interested in learning more, this conference might be a good first step.

The conference will be held at the O'Hare Wyndham Hotel, near Chicago's O'Hare airport. Details about the venue and a code for hotel room discounts are available at the conference website. Registration to attend the conference is $400.00 US for early registration. The price will go up to $475.00 and finally $500.00. Details are available on line. Accommodations and transportation are separate.

The conference will be one track with keynote speakers including Martin Fowler, Paul Graham, David Heinemeier Hansson, and Dave Thomas. The schedule of non-keynote talks will be available by the end of next week.

There is a special ‘Rails Guidebook’ session available on the Thursday before the conference. Space for this special learning session with Dave Thomas and Mike Clark is limited to 100 seats, and the price is a donation to a charity. Please see the conference website for details on this special opportunity.
