Rochester, NY – The GoblinX Linux Project (http://goblinx.com.br/), today, released GoblinX Premium 2006.1 edition, exclusively at On-Disk.com. 

GoblinX is a bootable live CD distribution based on Slackware Linux. The primary goal for GoblinX is to create a more pleasant and functional desktop, standardizing all icons and themes to make it easy for novice users to learn about available applications.

More advanced users will appreciate the combined the stability of Slackware, with a great power of customization. You will control everything about the system in a very simple and fast way.

At almost twice the original size of other GoblinX releases, with GoblinX Premium 2006.1 you get everything from previous versions, plus more. Including a very large number of added applications and features allowing it to go from being a live OS to an installed OS. 

Not only does the Premium Edition contain several applications for every day use, and games for your entertainment, but it also contains languages, libraries, files and applications used to compile other programs from source code. Plus a devel center where you can find programs and compile applications and drivers.

We've also added more drivers and packages that improve hardware support. Such as sane, gimp-print, hpjis, ndiswrapper, slmodem and more.
