Why is it so much harder to secure a Windows installation than a Linux installation? Well take a look a the pictures posted by Richard Stiennon on his ZD Net Blog.

Richard Stiennon has posted some pictures of the effects of an operation executing from Apache on Linux versus one executing from IIS on Windows. They're both complex, but the difference in the level of complexity is amazing.

The operation executing? Serving a single web page with a single picture.
