Recommended reading

Today I stumbled upon a number of essays from Dominic Humphries. I found them useful, especially for new users of Free and Open Source software, and probably Linux (or any of the BSDs).

I would recommend reading them in the following order:

Interesting to see how Dominic and I came to many of the same conclusions over the years, and in some scenarios use similar approaches - like in partitioning for example. And it's also funny to compare operating systems with cars and motorbikes, or toys and Lego stones.

Maybe the most interesting one is the comparison in the third one called "Linux is not Windows" - sometimes I wish that new converts had read this first before complaining with me about that Linux thing not being what they expected.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I found it an interesting and inspiring read.
