Aspiration and Blue Oxen Associates is hosting "FLOSS Usability Sprint II: Extreme Usability" on August 22-24, 2005 at 1366 Mission in San Francisco, California.

The notion of "extreme usability" emerged from the first FLOSS Usability Sprint last February. Making software usable is not something that can happen after the fact. Usability must be a consideration at all stages of the software development process. Extreme usability is a methodology that incorporates usability in a highly iterative and agile development process and that partners usability practitioners with programmers and users as co-designers and co-developers.

At this event, we will apply and refine the methodology on concrete, free (libre) / open source (FLOSS) software projects, focusing especially on users from nonprofit organizations. If you are a usability practitioner, FLOSS developer, or user and are interested in participating, please fill out our application.

As always, the event will be self-documenting on our event Wiki under Creative Commons license to encourage the broadest use, adoption and ongoing enhancement of those resources.
