4PSA VoipNow 1.2 is available with IVR, Fax Center, and interoperability options.

4PSA VoipNow 1.2, Rack-Soft’s VoIP control panel for Hosting Service Providers and Internet Service Providers is available with new features and interoperability options.

4PSA VoipNow is a telephony software solution designed for Linux operating systems, which allows HSP (Hosting Service Providers) and ISP (Internet Service Providers) to deploy cost effective, advanced VoIP services to residential and business customers. Due to the low hardware requirements and superior management features, the product can be installed by any company that wants to take advantage of the next generation telephony services.

The new version comes out as scheduled, after two weeks of public beta testing and three months after the first 4PSA VoipNow public release. Many improvements were suggested by the 4PSA VoipNow growing customer base as a direct result of production implementations.

One of the most important new features in 4PSA VoipNow 1.2 is the IVR (Interactive Voice Response) functionality. The IVR support allows telephony customers to design complex auto attendants in several minutes using a web based interface. Debug and graphic visualization tools are available, making the troubleshooting process easy even for large IVRs. The IVR implementation is based on a plug-in interface, allowing Rack-Soft to add more actions to the IVR designer based on customer requests.

4PSA VoipNow 1.2 comes with a Fax Center option that can be enabled on any phone extension. Once activated, this function detects fax calls, receives faxes, and saves them in PDF format. The account owner can be notified when a new fax message is processed.

Interaction with third-party software has been greatly improved in the 4PSA VoipNow 1.2 release. “The new version introduces a SOAP based communication API. It is possible to create, edit, and delete user accounts, adjust user permissions, setup extension’s features, etc using a standard API interface that can be contacted over HTTP. Any billing application, account sign-up program, custom control panel, etc can interact with 4PSA VoipNow”, said Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA VoipNow architect.

Over twenty other improvements are available in the new version. From queue conversation monitoring to improved interface usability, all new features increase customer satisfaction and maximize productivity.

4PSA VoipNow 1.2 is also available for Suse 10.x operating systems and can be installed faster on Virtuozzo hardware nodes due to the Virtuozzo template packaging. The software deployment on virtualized machines makes it even more attractive for service providers. The update tasks can be centralized and the server resources are better used without sacrificing performance or reliability.

4PSA VoipNow 1.2 is available now with prices starting at 299USD. The new version trial can be downloaded and installed from the Rack-Soft’s website. An online demo of 4PSA VoipNow is available at http://www.4psa.com/products/voipnow/demo.php.
