CVS
Subversion in Konquer?
I saw one distro (it may have been knoppix) had subversion integrated right into the File Manager (running kde must have been konquer). You really can't get much easier than that.

I have never used cvs for my config files (/etc/*) but it makes perfect sense to keep track of them in CVS. Especially if you are always changing things like your Apache configs. I will start doing this on machines that do not get regular backups in other ways (it might not be a bad idea to do it even if the machines ARE backed up). I'll try the scripts out in this article and see how they go. Yes, I know there are other tools but CVS does work well for this sort of stuff too.
