Preview: Fedora Core 3 Test 2

Fedora Core 3 Test2 was released today, and so here's a chance to preview the software. I've been eager to try out Gnome 2.8 and KDE 3.3, so I tried to install them on my Core 2 box, which resulted in a severe package dependency crisis, so since Test 2 was released today I figured I would just reformat and install it for kicks, and to get my KDE 3.3. I have no patience to re-iterate everything i said already. Here's my comment on osnews.com:

Essentially, that website has become a place for inept teenagers to play technology columnist. Please do not link to osnews.com again. You'll make everyone a service.

P.S.: The two positive votes that the story got so far on lxer.com are probably from the osnews.com crowd. :-( To each their own, i guess.

When I first read your comment (not having read the article) I thought "oh my, how harsh". Then I read the article. :) I have to agree on the clueless part. I also notice complaints about Gnome Menu editing being broken. It's actually not broken, it's just turned off and has been since Red Hat 9 (maybe even RH8, forget). I actually did a tip way back when on how to turn menu editing back on if you are so brave:

I agree with florin here, OSNews is the National Enquirer of tech news. They'll let anyone with a computer write a review on anything, and then all the trolls will come in and make assinine comments about it for days. I actually hit "I liked it" for this story by mistake. I meant to say that to the screenshots of FC3 story... guess I should change it. :P
