ARLOGO- The Arabic Logo Project http://arlogo.sourceforge.net/

Releases the first open source Arabic Programming Language, based on UCBLOGO, the most popular LOGO Interpreter, which is certified to run on Linux, Mac, and Windows.

Download UCBLogo Arabic Beta 1 @ http://www.geocities.com/elsheikhmh/arlogo/arlogo1.0.zip

The road map is to: 1. Add Arabic support to interpreter core (Proper Display of Arabic Character Right-to-Left, etc.. - valid for Hebrew too) 2. Translate Language keywords, and primitives 3. Translate Help-files. 4. Translate Documentation 5. Provide Examples in Arabic

All steps in-progress, but major for progress, the project needs co-operation of community to provide comments, and suggestions, and more.

This would be the first open source Arabic Programming Language according to multiple survies on Google, and Wikipedia, etc..

The wonderful thing here, that the engine of the interpreter now supports RTL (Right-To-Left) languages. This extends to many languages rather than Arabic, including Farsi, Hebrew, Urdu, and more..

The project page is @ http://arlogo.sourceforge.net/

I like that initiative much, but what about some simple screenshots?
