BusyBox is a set of command-line utilities developed with the goal of keeping its size as small as possible. To that end, all unnecessary options and code are ruthlessly cut out, and the entire command set is implemented by a single, multipurpose executable. BusyBox is found in a number of embedded environments; chances are it is running on your wireless router, for example. The command set has reached a level of capability that the new BusyBox maintainer believes that it is almost ready for use on desktop systems.

auuggggh fat web pages

I love LWN, but they sure need to fix their page code. That article is wider than my 1280x800 screen. Sheeeh!
So what about us 1920x1200 peeps? :-(
Is something stopping you from trying it yourself?
the article shows correctly in a 1600x1200 fullscreen... Unfortunately, I 'never' run the browser fullscreen, so that of no help at all. The fact is that the damn thing just doesn't wrap correctly. Talk about amateur... No... even most amateurs would know better.
1c3d0g,

The way you put it, TC must have thought you were asking her to check if the page worked for you :)
i got annoyed by that too. however if you turn off the stylesheets, the problem goes away :-)

greetings, eMBee.
> however if you turn off the stylesheets, the problem goes away

And I should have to do that why?
you should not have to, but if you really want to read something then doing so is more convenient than pulling your hair. something which i have been doing before i discovered that disabling stylesheets would help.

greetings, eMBee.
Oh goodie! I just love kludges..
What? What are you lot talking about?

/me hugs his Lynx

moving from gpl2 to gpl3

the summary of the article misses the juicy part. namely how disagreements over a move to the gpl3 affect the busybox project.

so even if you don't care for busybox, but you do care about the gpl, then you should read this article.

i almost missed it myself, i was just curious about scott's comment (which i have not figured out btw :-)

greetings, eMBee.

Looks like a rerun of what's already been hashed over extensively on LXer. I do think this is a real world example of what will be happening all over.
mbaehrlxer: I messed up and linked to subscriber content last week.

Stupid is as Stupid does.
