The truth is that Linux would not be doing nearly so well if not for Windows poor reliability and dependability. TCP (Total Cost of Purchasing) be damned; even if I had to pay twice the cost of Windows for a Linux distro, Linux would be a bargain in freeing up my time otherwise spent keeping XP limping along. You may rightfully say that the user might be the problem in my case, but it was the same user that had trouble with XP but a ultra reliable, faster, more dependable PC with the same hardware running Linux. later, mcinsand |
