Anyone seen it yet? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImyK29QLs_A It's about as bad as you'd expect... |

I think the picture on Bill Gate's Clown Club card is his mugshot from the Albuquerque police department:
http://www.mugshots.org/misc/bill-gates.html If it is, I have a whole new respect for Gate's ability to laugh at himself! |

I saw it last night on an actual television set (yes, I still have one of those.) My thought was that they are trying to mimic Sienfeld's (sp?) show. The commercial is basically about nothing. |

What a shock. I can't remember the name of the song but the Chorus goes something like, ..nothing from nothing means nothing.. |

>> "..nothing from nothing means nothing.." I think that's "...nothing from nothing leaves nothing..." http://www.oldielyrics.com/lyrics/billy_preston/nothing_from... |

oh yeah, that's it. Not bad for coming straight out of cold storage memory though huh? ;-) |

Yeah, I saw it last not on actual TV (on my computer though) and was left scratching my head. A friend theorized that they are trying to say that Vista is uncomfortable at first and you just need to break it in....or maybe that you're supposed to use Vista in the shower.... |

Hmm, NoDough beat me to the lyrics and song. Oh well. |

Wow. What a waste of cellulose. ...do they even still use cellulose? Anyway, here's a comment I liked: ------------ I am waiting for a good version of Windows. Maybe Windows7 will be that one. I liked Win95, and when that became just too obsolete to use, I looked at the Windows version at the time and determined to, as you so eloquently put it, "wait". While I wait, I run Linux. ------------- Thanks Scott, NoDough, now I've got that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. |

I doubt if they use cellulose, Bob -- way too sticky and unmanagable. However, they may still use celluloid. :-) techiem2's friend may have the right idea, although that was not clear to me (except maybe Microsoft was making an edible computer you could eat in the shower). |

Quoting:now I've got that song stuck in my head for the rest of the day. Watching the ad, I was more hearing something like: Meet the new boss... |

Funny, I heard "Same Old Song And Dance".... |

I couldn't hear anything, I was laughing too hard. (no, but rhetorically. honestly, I cannot remember anything about the commercial now except the churros and bendy shoes.) Hey, Bill! Give me $300M, I'll make a commercial that actually mentions your PRODUCT! |

Don't forget the churros. Something tells me they're important. |
