the article makes it sound like it's a bad thing that bill gates uses a picture featuring ubuntu linux.
"[taking classes online is a] sound goal and it's perfectly doable, but in the image posted on Facebook the operating system is Ubuntu. why is there a "but"? is ubuntu linux not a good OS to take online classes with? does the author mean to say that windows would be better? greetings, eMBee. |

I question the use of the word "inadvertently". Bill knows the difference between a Windows desktop and Linux desktop. Promoting Ubuntu? It really looks like the only thing he's promoting is hope of a better life by bridging the digital divide. If that's achievable with Windows and/or Linux, more power to him. |

Personally, I suspect that if you're not a Linux fan, you're probably not even going to notice what OS is being used on the computer screen in that picture. |
