Mint with all its greatness just doesn't (maybe even CANNOT!?) perform on various machines (HP and other Chromebooks) as well as lighter, more advanced distros such as its Debian Linux "grandparent", Arch Linux, antiX Linux, ....etcetera. Me own 2c |

I don't know, My laptop is an HP and it was a Chromebook until I installed Mint over the ChromeOS Flex that came with it. A $280 laptop that I got off of Amazon. |

That's the beauty of Linux. Try loading Mint on any computer. If it doesn't work, no big deal. Take flufferbeer's advice and try a different distro. |
