Boardcon’s “EM210? SBC integrates a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird SoC via a COM that runs Linux and Android, and features wireless, display, and camera options. Boardcon Embedded Design, of Shenzhen, China, specializes in Samsung SoC-based embedded boards, such as its recent EM4412 single board computer, which is built around a quad-core Exynos4412 system-on-chip. The company’s new EM210 SBC runs the older, slower, S5PV210AH (“Hummingbird”), the same 1GHz Cortex-A8 SoC that powered Samsung’s first Android-based Galaxy phones.

The first Alpha version of the upcoming Scientific Linux 7 operating system was announced by Pat Riehecky a few days ago on the mailing list for Scientific Linux developers worldwide. The release is based on the publicly available sources of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 distribution.

We would like to announce the general availability of CentOS 7 for 64-bit x86 compatible machines. This is the first release for CentOS 7 and is version marked as 7.0-1406. Since the upstream EL7 release, there have been some updates released - these have been built and are being pushed to the CentOS mirror network at the moment. They will be available within the next 24 hrs. From this point on we will aim to deliver all updates within 24 to 48 hours of upstream releases. For the first time, this release was built from sources hosted at git.centos.org.
