Witcher 2 out now for Linux
After the announcement of Steam Machines, a huge Linux games flow simply does not stop. This time, an amazing award-winning title The Witcher 2: Assasins of Kings has been released for Linux on Steam. CD Projekt Red today released a Linux version of 2011's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and is currently offering the game, as well as the original Witcher.

City of Vienna increasingly turns to open source
The administration in the Austrian capital, Vienna, is expanding its use of open source solutions, including on its workstations, because of new requirements, open data, budget constraints and the major shift towards smartphones and tablets.
"Open source helps to solve IT vendor lock-in situations", Norbert Weidinger, ICT-Strategist for the city, said in a presentation on the city's use of free and open source solutions.

Newegg Given The Go Ahead To Pursue 'Douche Bag' Patent Troll For Fees
A few weeks ago, the Supreme Court smacked down the Federal Circuit (CAFC) for its made up rules that made it almost impossible to enable victims of patent trolls to get the courts to order the trolls to pay legal fees. As the Supreme Court noted, CAFC seemed to set up arbitrary rules for no reasons at all. And this is important, because courts almost never award legal fees, and with the untimely death of patent reform, hopefully this small change will at least help in the meantime.
