In part 5 of this Gtkmm tutorial I will be showing you how to use the treeview control and markup in a label. In this simple application there is a text entry used for entering text into a treeview. The label next to the text entry will turn red if there is no text entered in the text entry when the button is pressed.

Today, January 12, Linus Torvalds has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the eight and last Release Candidate of the upcoming Linux kernel 3.13. Linux kernel 3.13 RC8 comes with the usual updated drivers (mostly for networking), arch updates (mostyl ARM and parisc), as well as various network updates. The final release should be available at the end of next week.
