I havent tried any new distro for months. So on the occasion that a new version of Fuduntu got released, I decided to download then install it on my Samsung netbook. As a matter of fact, I had used an older version of Fuduntu last year and somehow liked it. However a problem occurred that the downloading speed was terribly slow back then, it just took me forever to upgrade system and install new packages. So I had to ditch Fuduntu for Linux Mint and havent tried Fuduntu again since then. But after installing and using the new Fuduntu for over a day, I can say that it is different now with many improvements.

Ubuntu 13.04 users can expect to find Gnome 3.6 as the default desktop, and not the newer 3.8. But rumour suggests that users can still get their hands on Gnome 3.8 if they desire. After testing I found that it is actually 3.79.x that can be installed. Many of the same features are available, including classic desktop.

Microsoft and Oracle say it's "predatory" for companies to give away software.

On Tuesday, we reported on a new complaint filed by "Fairsearch," an anti-Google group that counts Microsoft, Oracle, Nokia, and about a dozen other Google competitors as members. In recent years, European regulators have become more aggressive at policing anticompetitive behavior in the tech sector than their American counterparts. Microsoft and its allies hope that officials will conclude that Google's mobile OS strategy violates the EU's competition laws.
