Shutter is probably the most powerful screenshot application for Linux, and the main reason for this is that it comes with tons of configuration options for the final process of taking a simple screenshot. In a low-key announcement at the end of last week, Google's open source supremo Chris DiBona announced that their project hosting service, Google Code, is ending its embargo on open source licenses they don't like. Clementine is a port of Amarok 1.4 to QT 4, giving users an application that fits in well with KDE 4 while still resembling the previous version of the library-based music player. PlayOnLinux 3.8.1 was released this morning. Bugs #30 and #31 were fixed. Function introduced with PoL 3.7.7, for auto_shortcut was buggy in last release, now fixed. Full rewrite of an internal function that installs a plugin shipped with PoL automatically on startup. Plugin Capture was updated with the last version (2.1.1). Translation was updated with the last available on Launchpad (synced the 2010-09-02). And finally new tools appeared, playonlinux-cmd.
