Ubuntu 16.10 Yakkety Yak Released and there is no major change/update over Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, released back in April but still have few minor improvements. If you preferring Long Term Support, i would advise you to stay back in current LTS version of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.
