Looking for AJAX groupware that is easy to install, easy to use, and easy to live with? Check out the newest version of Citadel’s WebCit. Just released today, the newest version of this web-based front end to the open-source Citadel groupware system now sports a range of user-friendly AJAX-enabled features. The ability to drag and drop messages between rooms (or folders), an improved rich text editor, an improved two-pane message viewer, additional bulletin board options, and a left-side menu bar that can toggle between the main menu and a collapsible room list are just a few of the niceties added to this version.
Another of this version’s useful unveilings is the introduction of localization. With the ability to use the system in English (US), German, and Italian, WebCit is well on it’s way to becoming a versatile international groupware tool. And Development sources tell me that even more translations are on the way and that volunteer translators are always welcome – so if you’d be interested in running WebCit in your native language and don’t see you’re language listed, just contact them http://www.citadel.org/index.php?option=com_contact&catid=12..." target=_blank>here to get started.
