Actually... I can guarantee you that OpenSolaris will be released... and very soon too. You can read my other post about why it will be under an OSI license other than the GPL. |

Just re-read your post. I guess it was the coy response about Solaris possibly coming out under GPL broke the needle on my .B.S. meter. Hence, my skepticism has ratcheted up to max. So much so I really wonder with the back and forth " ... it's coming ... no it's Not ... perhaps never ...", has led me to believe I will not soon suffer heart stoppage by the release of Solaris under some sort of open license. Until it happens, I remain very skeptical of Sun's plans and actions. Please note until recently that was not my initial response to a Sun press release or rumored plans. |
