I recently started to develop for Symbian (still learning...) devices. I came from j2me, so that is a giant step in the right direction :) . Now I am getting signals that my favorite OS might become big enough on mobile devices ( big enough for moving from Symbian to Linux) so the question is, am I making a mistake investing my time in learning Symbian (Remember, I have to develop on windows to be able to use emulators...) instead of jumping into the/a Linux framework?? From the article:> "On the flip side, developer support for Linux is lacking." Mr Phone-maker, whip up some tools for Linux-developers and killer apps will come at an incredible rate! |
