Can you say "revenue denial"?

Windows users have a lot to thank Linux for. Better software quality, lower prices, a more diverse and robust application ecosystem (Moz, OOo, ...), ...

I hate to think what would happen to Microsoft stock if they get too frisky on the pricing front. The downside of having 80% margins is that for every $1 you cut your price, 80 cents come off the bottom line.

I can honestly say that I would not switch to Windows if it was free (why should I, Linux is better). Now, if MS was to pay *me* I would consider it (as long as I could dual boot).
