They may have released a lot with Solaris code but when its license impedes the use-fullness of it as much as in this case you can hardly call it open source in the spirit of things.

I'm not saying they should of course release their source, just if they do they should release it fully in the spirit of things. The Solaris code just isn't of much use nor I expect will the JES be.

Not all of that which is "Solaris" will be available in "open source" form. Sun's having enough problems just getting something resembling what they want to call "OpenSolaris" out the door. Such is the case when a gazillion "other" hands (non-free hands) have mucked around with your source over the years.

Right now it's all just words. Title should read:

Sun Makes Largest Claim of Being the Largest Contributor to Open Source.

Sun is large because they say so.
