100,000 projects but how many

are still in development.

Sourceforge could clean out what percentage of those projects because no one has touched the code in any form for years?

Almost all are indeed in development. However, those that get touched a lot do get better -- -- it's a Darwinian system.

Also 'cleaning out' untouched projects would be a bad move. Untouched code is proof positive of a false path, a journey no one else should take.
