Patent and licensing issues?

This is good news, I guess. But is DTrace patent encumbered? Someone at Sun seems willing to help now, but are there surprises in store down the road? Also, how does the CDDL-BSD licensing thing work? I thought FreeBSD was just as locked out of OpenSolaris's technology as Linux is? |
