3 years ago we started upgrading from Windows NT domain to Windows 2000. The migration was for 8,000 desktops from Win 95, Win 98, Win NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 to Win XP and the plan was to finish it in two years. Up till now, we still have Win NT 4.0 desktops and the last of NT 4.0 server were completed by end of 2004. That was only from Microsoft to Microsoft and It wasn't pretty. So, a delay of moving Windows to Linux by 6 months is not bad at all. Better safe than sorry.
