as tadelste said lordshipmayhem, you are doing this so that you don't continue to spread virus' around the Internet and not because they are Linux specific. It's only common courtesy. If anyone ever does develop a Linux specific virus (and sooner or later they will), I'm sure you'd want the same consideration.

Also, while I'd prefer to give support to an open solution AnonymousCoward, the clamav debs have been basically broken for a couple of months. Given that fact, this may be worth a try.

I just typed:

# yum update clamav

and got the latest version on my Fedora Core 4 system.

Nyah nyah nyah nyey nyah nyah!

(I've been waiting for years to be able to say that! ;-)

prob a few more years till you'll be able to say it again ;-).... Maybe they've fixed it since I tried last.
